Intensive English Courses (B1 & B2)

Our intensive B1 and B2 English courses are specifically designed to further your proficiency for everyday use and professional development. Each course builds key skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary through practical, interactive lessons. To support engaging learning, students are encouraged to part in Weyshab-organised lessons and activities to further develop their English skills.

Understanding B1 & B2 English

B1 - Intermediate

At the B1 level, learners can:

Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters such as work, school, and leisure.
Deal with most situations that may arise while travelling in an area where English is spoken.
Produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
Describe experiences, events, hopes, and ambitions, as well as briefly explain reasons and opinions.

B2 - Upper Intermediate

At the B2 level, learners can:

Understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialisation.
Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects related to their interests.
Explain a viewpoint on a topical issue, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Course Overview

Students in our Intensive English Courses will:

Improve fluency and listening skills for effective communication with both native and international English speakers.
Practice both formal and informal expressions suited to a variety of contexts.
Master grammar rules to construct clear, accurate sentences.
Gain confidence in English, improving both personal and professional opportunities.
Increase comprehension for real-life situations, from ordering in a restaurant to reading newspapers and watching films.

Our lessons combine essential English skills - listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation - with a range of materials, including a complete coursebook, digital resources, and online practice tools.

Each student will receive a certificate indicating their language level on completing the course, with ongoing assessments throughout.

Start Dates

Weekly start dates, commencing each Monday throughout the year (excluding national and Christmas holidays). For part-time students (less than 15 hours per week), class days will be confirmed with our admissions team during enrolment.

Eligibility Requirements

No prior qualifications required.
Must be aged 16 or over.
For international students requiring a visa, we recommend enrolling in our full-time courses (minimum 15 hours per week).

Tuition Fees

All courses are self-funded, with financial support from personal sources, family, or external funders. UK student loans are not eligible.
